In the morning you will depart from Hanoi for departure to Ha Giang. On the way, we will pass through the undulating terrain of tea plantations. We will check into a local village house and have lunch. After lunch, we will have a short walk around this village.
Meeting and talking with local villagers will help you understand the culture of the Tay ethnic group. Dinner will be provided at the village.
Overinight in Ha Giang
After breakfast in the stilt house, we continue our drive towards Dong Van plateau via scenic road with long passes and deep valleys. Stop for great photos of Quan Ba Heaven Gate and the Twin Mountain.
Having lunch in Yen Minh town and take rest for an hour then we continue the trip to Sa Phin village to visit the Former H’Mong King’s Palace, and then keep driving up ahead we will visit the Flag tower on the top of Lung Cu mountain, the border with China.
Arrive Dong Van town, we will have some extra time to wonder the ancient streets lined with H’mong homes of clay bricks and tiles roofs built centuries ago, have dinner in a local restaurant, and spend the night in a local hotel.
Overnight in Dong Van
After your breakfast we walk to visit market of Dong Van, where the locals shop before returning to their mountain hamlets. It is also possible to see Fortress of Pu Lo, a site remained from Indochina War.
We continue to reach the top of the Ma Pi Leng Pass, drive on Happy Road through a gigantic maze of lime peaks, “stone forests”, and canyons unique in the world.
Descending into the valley of Meo Vac, we continue snaking through the mountains, cross the river, and arrive in the village of Bao Lac, where we have lunch then continue your trip to Cao Bang. Tonight you will stay overnight at hotel in Cao Bang town.
Overnight in Cao Bang
On this day you will take a scenic in insightful day trip north of Cao Bang to the beautiful Ban Gioc waterfall, one of four biggest border-crossing waterfalls in the world. This picturesque, cascading waterfall is 53 meters high and has an impressive span of 300 meters.
The drive there offers unique landscapes, limestone karst formations soar from the verdant rice paddies of the surrounding farms of local ethnic minorities. Along the way we stop to visit local market at Trung Khanh here you’ll see Tay, Nung, Hmong and Dzao ethnic minority groups. Lunch will be served with local food in a restaurant nearby the fall.
We visit this sight and follow our trip to Nguom Ngao Cave, this enormous cave has two main entrances and one branch reaching almost all the way to the waterfalls where is a “secret’ entrance.
Overnight in Cao Bang
After breakfast at the hotel, we will set off for Ba Be National Park but firstly we have to pass the Ma Phuc Pass, one of the greatest passes in Vietnam, this Ma Phuc Pass is really a challenge for any truck driver. Lunch in a restaurant on the way and arrive at Ba Be around noon time.
Check-in a local family where you stay tonight then start for a boat trip to cruise the emerald Ba Be Lake and soak in its sublime serenity and beauty. The surrounding mountains are covered with lush vegetation, home to diverse flora and fauna. Reach the end of the lake and stop for a trek to Dau Dang waterfall.
The boat will take you to explore the newly discovered Hua Ma Cave. This cave is hidden inside a peak and adorned with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites.
Overnight: homestay in Ba Be.
After breakfast at the Homestay, take your time for walking around the village on your own, take photos of villagers going to farms with buffalo, children going to school or simply relaxing in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying the views.
Drive back to Hanoi stopping on the way either to visit Cho Da market (which runs on the 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th & 30th days of the lunar calendar) or to take pictures and to admire the scenery.
Arrive in Hanoi in late afternoon. End of all services

– Any cancellation between 35 days to 20 days prior to arrival date: 25% charge
– Any cancellation between 20 days to 10 days prior to arrival date: 50% charge
– Any cancellation less than 10 days: 100% charge

– Full payment is required soonest possible & at the latest by 35 days prior to the arrival date (except in case we have a credit agreement)
– The deposit will be required in case we need to deposit to hotels or airlines
– The bank fees (transfer fees and correspondence fees are on the sender)

Payment due: The special payment deadline will be applied and indicated in specific bookings in the tour confirmation. Generally, we request payment at 2 weeks in advance for FIT & 30 days in advance for GIT. In case, we have to deposit to the suppliers to guarantee the service availability, we will request you to settle the deposit to us accordingly
4. Booking process notes:
– Upon receipt of your request or booking, we will immediately send a short notice to acknowledge the receipt
– We will deal with your requests or bookings and send out our detailed proposal or tour confirmation within 24 hours (or soonest possible) with details of specific terms & conditions
5. Cancellation/ No show
The specific cancellation fee will be indicated in the tour confirmation for specific bookings. This is due to the fact that each hotel and each supplier apply a different cancellation policy.
Any cancellation due to irresistible reasons such as war, strikes, earthquakes, etc. will be subject to no charge.
