Welcome to Hanoi, you will be collected by our local guide at Hanoi Airport and transfer to hotel for check-in (Check in time at 02.00 PM earlier time will be up on arrival). Relax after a long flight at the hotel and lunch and dinner on your own.

Today’s tour will begin at 8:30. Escape from Hanoi this morning after breakfast, leaving the busy streets of the capital behind and entering the quieter countryside.
After around 2.5 hours of driving, reach Hoa Lu. Join the guide for an in-depth exploration of the ruins of Vietnam’s first capital. Learn about the Dinh (968-980) and Le (980-1009) Dynasties and about the history of the site. See ancient tombs and the ruins of the once-imposing Citadel.
Situated near Tam Coc, Trang An is a nature reserve similar to Tam Coc, however far less visited. Limestone hills surround a peaceful river that passes through a series of caves (one which takes 15 minutes to pass through in darkness). An ‘eco-tourism’ area, the only interruptions here are the sound of birds and the gentle paddle of the oar upon the crystal-clear river.
Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1994, Ha Long Bay is a naturalist’s dream. Magnificent Ha Long Bay, with its 3,000 islands rising from the clear, emerald waters of the Gulf of Tonkin, is one of the natural marvels of Vietnam. These tiny islands are dotted with innumerable beaches and grottoes created by the wind and the waves. Observing the limestone rocks rising from the sea and sailing junk boats by will be a truly memorable experience.
The scenic 2.5-hour drive from Ha Noi to Ha Long is full of spectacular scenery as you will pass through seemingly endless green paddy fields and lush fruit farms. Upon arrival, board your traditional junk for a cruise amongst the incredible limestone karsts of Ha Long Bay to view Thumb Island, Cock Fighting Island, and Incense Island which can be seen on Vietnam’s 200,000 dong currency note. Explore one of the biggest, most beautiful stalactites and stalagmite cave of the bay. Enjoy a seafood lunch on board while cruising back to the wharf. Transfer back to Hanoi. Dinner on your own account.
Overnight at the hotel.
You will have the whole day to explore Vietnam’s capital city. Your guide will take you to the Temple of Literature, the first university in Vietnam dating back to the 11th century, and Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (close on Monday & Friday afternoon), his modest stilt house, and the museum dedicated to his memory.
Then, we will transfer to the airport (without a guide) for a short flight to Ho Chi Minh city
On arrival in Saigon, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel to check in. The afternoon is at your leisure to enjoy one of the most beautiful cities in Vietnam with a variety of breathtaking sports. Meals on your own.
Overnight at the hotel.
Note: Shorts and tank tops are not allowed in Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum & pagodas.
Our guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, and drive 1,5 hours to Mỹ Tho. We will stop along the way for refreshments and toilets.
Upon arrival, we board a motor-boat and cruise along a vast network of canals and channels to enjoy wonderful views of the Mekong River, including four famous islands “Dragon, Unicorn, Turtle, and Phoenix”.
Stop at one of the floating fish houses, in nets and wire baskets under their house, the villagers cultivate freshwater fish and shrimp - a major export product of the region.
Cross the River to the other side, you will stop at a traditional workshop to witness a step-by-step process on how to make coconut candy, and honey farming… while trying some yourself and listening to traditional music.
Enjoy what local people offer by hand rowing a sampan along the shady, breezy canal. We will transfer to local transportation called Xe Lôi to travel throughout the villages.
Lunch will be served at a riverside restaurant with a Vietnamese 5-course set menu. Please request in advance if you have a food allergy, you are a vegetarian, or you observe Halal.
Take a rest after lunch before boarding the motorboat back to Mỹ Tho. We drive to Vĩnh Tràng pagoda, an ancient southern architectural gem built in the middle of the 19th century. There are many Buddha statues including some that are over a hundred years old. We drive another 1,5 hours back to Ho Chi Minh city and drop you at your hotel. Dinner on your own.
Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, take a closer look at the city itself, starting at. Reunification Hall This fascinating building, once known as the Presidential Palace, is filled with history. Hear the story of how, on 30 April 1975, North Vietnamese tanks seized the building as Saigon fell. Continue to the Old Post Office and Notre Dame Cathedral, two colonial-style monuments with interesting pasts.
The final stop of the day is Ben Thanh market. Located in the heart of the city, this market is one of the liveliest in the area. Rub shoulders with the locals while browsing the countless stalls selling fruits, tea, and dry goods. I had the most wonderful time experiencing Vietnam on this tour! My guides (John) were fabulous in ensuring everyone was looked after 24/7 and getting us from place to place. The pacing and inclusions were great and the accommodations were comfortable and well-located. My only regret is not staying longer! – Ms. Anna
